Alves still hopes for Reds move

Sevilla star Daniel Alves is still hoping to secure a move to Liverpool
despite the deal stalling.

Liverpool have been chasing the Brazilian for some time, but have been
frustrated in their attempts to lure him to Anfield.

Alves has been one of Rafa Benitez's top targets all summer as he looks to
bring in a new right-sided player.

Liverpool have already seen two bids rejected for Alves with Sevilla
determined to keep hold of the versatile performer.

Sevilla are reportedly holding out for around £10 million and Liverpool are
unwilling to go that high for Alves.

A number of other clubs are waiting in the wings to sign Alves, but the
player's agent Jose Rodriguez Baster insists Alves has his heart set on a
move to Liverpool.

"It is true that at the moment there are difficulties with the deal," Baster

"There is an economic difference between what Sevilla are demanding and what
Liverpool are willing to pay.

"We need to try and reach a compromise and we will try to do this in the
next few days.

"Liverpool is Daniel's first option and he wants to play with them despite
interest from other clubs.

"He wants to play in England and that is the most important thing.

"We are trying to make the operation happen."

I'd like Alves in preference to that Spanish fella.
Me too cos he wants to play for us unlike that Spanish fella.
